Description:
Impressive German classic: Very well-crystallized and -terminated, dark-reddish and lustrous proustite crystals up to 1.0 cm in size - perched on silver-bearing pyrite/argentopyrite. When backlit the piece you can see partially cherry-red areas. Prosutite specimens in such a quality, size and especially crystal size are extremely rare on the market today and are and have always been very sought after. The piece comes from the collection of the very prominent German collector, scientist and author - Gerhard Sansoni, Freiberg with two labels and the corresponding number. The labels show an exact locality and informed us, that the piece was already bartered in 1962. Old German classic from the Friedrich-August-zu-Randeck Mine, Mulda, Freiberg District, Saxony, Germany.
